From August 2016 to June 2020 I was a full-time lead preschool teacher in classrooms ranging in ages from 2.5-4.5 years old. My duties included creating and implementing a curriculum based on a child-led, or emergent model. I carried out both education and loving care of children. The school was a play-based learning environment that took inspiration from several different philosophies of education including Reggio- Emilia, Montessori, Howard Gardner, and Vygotsky. I curated and maintained the classroom environment, published and shared written documentation detailing the curriculum and learning for parent and school communications, and participated in and attended continuing education workshops and lectures.
